  • To provide housekeeping services to all guest tents and restrooms according to the policies and procedures established by Capella Hotels.
  • To provide exceptional quality housekeeping services to enhance the overall guest experience.



  • Maintain complete knowledge of:
  • All tented features/services, hours of operations
  • All tented restaurant food concepts, menu price range, dress code and ambiance
  • All tented tent types, numbers/names, layout appointments, amenities and locations
  • Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously
  • Follow up with designated tented personnel to ensure completion of request
  • Clean all assigned guest tents on daily service including: dusting, making beds soiled linen removal from tents, and retrieval of clean linen from pantry, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, replenish retreat with supplies and amenities
  • Servicing of tents in the evening (turndown service) including opening bed, turn on the bedside light, closing clear blind and linen pattern/motif blind, bathroom cleaning, replenish retreat with supplies and amenities
  • Sign in and out tent keys daily 
  • Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Update and record all cleaned retreats  
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Maintain cleanliness and working condition of departmental equipment / supplies
  • Successful completion of the training / certification process
  • Relay accurate directions to guest on inquiries regarding destinations of local area
  • Respond in a timely manner to guest requests for items such as an iron, safety instructions, assistance, direction, and/or other information as requested
  • Clean all public toilets, urinals, floorings and under toilets, wash basin and polish all vanity areas, vacuum and mop floors
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Set up turn down amenities
  • Check and replace the mini bar consume and make report to camp post agent
  • Clear up tent dishes and bring them to the pantry (refer to SOP clear up IRD)
  • Responsible for pick up and deliver guest laundry from / to the retreat
  • Report all suspicious persons, activities or hazardous conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Turn in all items found in employee's working area to Housekeeping Lost and Found
  • Other duties as assigned such as assisting public area attendant and laundry attendant when requested



  •   Ability to work alone in an established routine
  • Ability to push or pull trolley and back pack basket weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Possess a basic command of the English language and the ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate with guests
  • Ability to provide legible communication
  • Requires repetitive motion of the hands, wrists, shoulders and back with repeated bending and stooping
  • Physical activities include kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, walking, talking, seeing, hearing, handling, feeling, reaching, stretching, grasping
  •   A basic education or training in the hospitality industry
  •   Previous experience as a Housekeeping Attendant in a luxury market
  • Ability to understand guest inquiries and provide responses
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous
  • Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals
  • Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintains concentration and makes concise decisions
  • Ability to focus attention on details
  •   Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent tented data
  • Ability to ensure security of guest retreat access
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team
  • Ability to be flexible as the job changes
  •   Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and evenings if necessary
  • Be an ambassador to The Capella Ubud at all times, in and outside of one's workplace
  • Ability to focus attention on guests' needs
